HIGH STREET FASHION

High street sellers can often be confused with Economy Fashion, high street fashion came around in the 20th century when women stayed at home with their children, which means their income was discarded and their had to be a more available and affordable market.

Its core market is aged 30+ and onwards this is due to the financial positioning in the market, they can be department store, traditional and original brands. These brands are not massively on trend there seen as more simple, basic and essential clothing are they are older stores their typical customer is more loyal from the beginning.

Brands such as Oasis, Gap, Warehouse, Marks and Spencer and Coast.

The High street are fit to a choice of lifestyle of the consumer most of these shops were popular in their youths, however are being knocked out by Economy fashion, as they are not as trendy and affordable.

Debenhams concessions such as Jasper Conran, Principle, John Rocha and Henry Hollard are all designers you can order online from, retailers are struggling as most people are consuming more on the web then in store for this certain branding. The web needs 70 high street stores to create a national presence compared to the 250 shops.
